Testimonial

Materials included scanned textures from vintage catalogs, hand-drawn accents, and muted earth-tone color grading. The result is a visual identity that appeals to both collectors and casual users looking to bring character and charm into their spaces through design.Inspired by flea market finds and the golden age of design (1950s–70s), the interface mixes bold serif typography with soft edges and rounded UI elements to evoke a sense of comfort and familiarity. We chose an illustrated theme with vintage-style graphic elements and textured overlays that mirror aged paper and fabric. For the hero shot, we combined 3D renders of furniture pieces with soft grain filters to simulate retro photography. The app’s main interface was showcased within a retro-styled phone mockup, set against a collage background of clippings, torn paper, and Polaroid-style frames. The interface was built using Figma, and we prototyped the app from there. These layered visuals support the narrative of curated nostalgia.

APP DESIGN

Vint is a mobile app designed for buying and selling vintage furniture, featuring an immersive 3D viewing experience. Created through a collaborative team effort with Zoe Parrilli and Mila Pinaud Kiryakakis, the app also includes a curated inspiration feed, an educational component about the furniture, and a browsing experience that allows users to explore and save styles—reminiscent of Pinterest and Depop. Vint’s design was influenced by retro print ads, mid-century color palettes, and analog textures that reflect the warmth and nostalgia of vintage interiors.
